Public recording and use of media

naertnahte documents events which take place in public spaces and public forums, places that are open to the public. Recording in public settings and the right to document matters of public interest is permitted under applicable laws in California and the United States. Content that is published on this website and associated social media accounts may include video, images, and audio captured in these environments, where there is generally no reasonable expectation of privacy.

Recording activities are conducted without interference and in accordance with applicable laws. Because the events, such as protests and demonstrations, take place in public spaces or forums (any public property not closed by a legal authority, such as the Westminster Police Department), prior permission and consent from individuals and organisations present is not required. Requests for media to obtain or be granted such approval will be ignored.

Reasonable requests for factual corrections to published content will be considered.

As for court proceedings, appropriate permissions for courtroom media coverage are obtained. Media operation in the courtroom is carried out in accordance to the guidelines and demands set by the Judge(s) and the Public Information Officer of the court.
